salam n greeting to all..
After killing his girlfriend's cat and leaving a trail of blood to lead her to the carcass, an L.A. man was sentenced to two years behind bars. While this case may be a bit extreme, it got us thinking: Should you really go to jail for animal cruelty?
Leaving your dog tied outside without shelter, forgetting to feed your goats and overcrowding your home with too many cats could make you a criminal in the USA, but not in Malaysia. Animal cruelty isn't considered a crime in the Great White North, so we wonder why our government is so strict about the treatment of fuzzy creatures -- after all, they're just animals. Does this mean we should be arrested for accidentally hitting birds while we drive or exterminating vermin from our property?

Should we go to jail for animal cruelty? Why does the U.S. have stricter laws on animal welfare in comparison to Malaysia?

I think that jail shouldnt be a first option. Pet owners should be fined for a first offence, a higher fine for a second offence and jail for subsequent repeated offences. If we put everyone in jail for every little thing, then Malaysian prisons would be very crowded.
huhu..i think we should practice that if the case is very2 cruel..coz we all known that some animal also need us as a human to protect them to live..
we do not posses that kind of awareness in malaysia...
so we just "let it go" "never mind" "who's care"...
i don't think that the person who commit this act should'nt go to the jail...but they have to pay offence...but the law must be strict and no "kes2 rayuan"...
